Akkbio @ 2025

In 2025, AKM joined hands with MoonBiotech to launch the second generation of functional probiotics Akkermansia Muciniphila (AKK) series products, AKMDownLipidTM Gold and Platinum, produced by Vitalkuren Gmbh pharmaceutical grade GMP process in Germany, which meets the requirements of local German healthcare treatment. AKK is the second generation of functional probiotic star strain, with regulation of energy metabolism, tumor immunomodulation, longevity and anti-aging, intestinal mucosal protection and many other aspects of the scientific evidence by more than 3,000 scientific articles.

Moen Biotech is an innovative biotechnology company focusing on commercialization of microbial resources in China, with the largest commercial microbial library in Asia (270,000 strains). 300 AKK natural bacteria from Moen's library were selected for AKM-Lab-01, a strain that is suitable for the Chinese population and highly efficient in expressing the Amcu_1100 protein, which has been patented worldwide (Patent No. WO40612MB). AKM-Lab-01 strain, which is suitable for Chinese population and expresses Amcu_1100 protein efficiently, has been authorized by global patent (Patent No. WO40612MB).
